Maestro Carrillo’s rich, versatile voice with it’s wide range, placed first in the world in the prestigious Academia in Perm, Russia Opera Competition. Many are calling him "a young Pavarotti". Mr. Carrillo was also awarded Best Tenor in the Olivia Gorra Contest in Mexico City’s National Center for the Arts. He has performed on stages around the world including Mexico, Costa Rica, Europe, and most recently at the world famous Lunario del Auditorio Nacional. While his preferred genre is Opera, Mr. Carrillo has a wide crossover appeal and he sings in multiple languages including; Spanish, English, Italian, French, German, Russian, Portuguese, Zapotec and Latin. He has performed in various operas, most recently the highly acclaimed Carmen. Considered “The Great Tenor of Durango, Mexico” Alfredo Carrillo has collaborated with a wide variety of artists, and performed a private recital for Placido Domingo. Maestro Carrillo considers it a great honor and works diligently to support and mentor young artists on their musical journey.
